Studio Bette Eklund is a Turku-Helsinki-based design studio focused on creating timeless, emotionally resonant furniture and spatial objects. Each piece is guided by curiosity, craftsmanship and intention, designed to bring meaning, beauty and presence into everyday life.
A personal and intuitive practice
With a background in both design and production, my approach is rooted in hands-on making, artistic freedom and deep material understanding. Creativity runs in my family and my design philosophy has been shaped by the deep respect for timeless design and architecture.
In 2012, I co-founded BEdesign, a Finnish furniture brand that grew to over 15 countries. After more than a decade, I founded Studio Bette Eklund as a new, more personal chapter, a space for slow design, meaningful collaboration and exploring my own language of form.
Design that lasts—functionally and emotionally
I believe good design is not only beautiful and functional, it should connect emotionally and tell a story. The pieces I create are meant to be lived with and cherished across generations, guided by feeling and longevity rather than by trends.
Collaboration and process
Studio Bette Eklund operates at the intersection of creative independence and thoughtful collaboration. I work closely with clients, artisans and manufacturers, whether through bespoke commissions or design-to-production partnerships.
My process is always holistic, guided by material sensitivity, sustainability and a commitment to creating something that truly matters.
